HALF DAY KINDY

Today Keera has half a day at Kindy, so I've only got the morning to get stuff done without a pre-schooler underfoot.

I'm going to get Keera's quilt top/batting and backing pinned together, then all going well, make a start on quilting it.

Later on today, I'm half expecting Lacy to come out to visit with Keera.  She's not been for a while as she's had a rotten cold, and the last thing we wanted was to have the little kids catch another one.

Soooooo.... that's all I have for now.  It could be a very 'normal' sort of day!

ONWARD...

OK... obviously I have not been on my blog all morning, otherwise I would have deleted that shitty comment from 'ANON'.
Sorry Lacy, it is now too late to delete it.

As for you ANON, you have no idea of the history... and there are reasons why Lacy does not have any of her children living with her.

She does have problems, which are NONE OF YOUR BLOODY BUSINESS.

We may appear to be enabling her to walk away from her children, but at the end of the day, they are CHILDREN, not pets that can be ditched.  So we will always be here to help care for them, as others in the family have, and will.

Now, as I've said many times before... GO CRAWL BACK UNDER YOUR FUCKING BRIDGE, and get a life of ya own.  I bet YOU have made mistakes in your life too eh?

Back to my day:  I started pinning out the quilt on the kitchen bench, and damn!  Not enough pins, so I took a quick drive to Spotlight in Hamilton and bought more.

ABOVE:  All pinned and ready for sewing now.

I picked Keera up from kindy at 12.30:

ABOVE:  To my consternation, that shit won't come off!  I scrubbed... and nah.  Pink hands for a while I reckon.  *sigh*

Pink hands... well some of it came off over the course of the afternoon and evening.  Goodness knows WHERE it came off ONTO!

I made left overs PIE tonight for dinnner.  It was nice not having to cook much.

The only trouble now is that I have REFLUX... so I think I will be sitting up on the couch all night instead of in me bed.  BUGGER.  I might just have to forgo pie from now on.

If Lacey has a home now why doesn't she have Keera live with her? Surely at Laceys age ditching all 3 of her children is wearing abit thin! Why has no one suggest that she seek professional help to deal with what she's done to these poor kids? Partying days have been over for a long time Lacey, you're far to old, time to address your issues and grow up and be a mother.

    1. I think you should mind your own business. it's got absolutely nothing to do with you!!!!!!! Your just being a bitch who ever you are.

    2. What's wearing thin is your need to attack my sister, you and all of the other anonymous losers that feel the need to have a go at someone who by all accounts has nothing to do with you. It's people like you who constantly stick your nose into situations that are none of your business that is making this world such a difficult place to live in. If you just kept your uninformed opinions to yourself then everyone would be better off. I'm trying my best to be polite here, as getting angry at people like you is a waste of my energy, your just a lose with a keyboard, not even a bullet is good enough for people like you. I understand that your life is probably so pathetic that the only joy you get is trying to run other people down, but for the love of god get your shit together and work on fixing yourself before you try and tell others how they should live. In all honesty I do feel sorry for you, and if I could help you become a truly functional member of society I would, but judging by your comment I can see you are far beyond help, I can only hope that one day you will realise what a cunt of a human being you are and change. And from now on please keep your nasty opinions to yourself, nobody wants to hear them, not us, not the readers of this blog, hell I doubt even your own friends and family want to hear them.

Well said Bex and Steve! You are both seriously amazing, kind hearted and talented people who are raising gorgeous little people. The unconditional love you share is what makes this world a better place.

    4. I have been reading this blog for quite a long time now but this is my first comment. Anon if you have so many opinions why don't you start your own blog and keep your nose out of others? Well done Steve for keeping your cool. Love your blog Chris.

      Cheers, Karen near Gympie.

  2. As I was told when I was growing up, if you haven't got anything nice to say then don't say anything at all. And anonymous letters (and comments) should be ignored. Crawl back under the bridge.

  3. Ditto what Athene said.

Wow I'm with you Athene, my parents taught me this also! Anon If you can't put your name to it then don't say it. You have no right to judge a situation that you know nothing about. Chris I love your nails, so bright and colourful. Have a great day. I hope Lacy is feeling better and her cough is all good and she gets to visit.

  5. Love you and think you are amazing Chris. So silly the school lets kids get into something that doesn't wash off easily.

  6. Well said Athene, I agree with Kym, if you have not got the balls to put your (real) name to a comment then bugger off back to your own unsatisfied life. Hope Lacy is feeling better.

With the pink hands, try making a paste with baking soda & water, it mat gently scour off, otherwise, just dress her to coordinate with pink hands :-).

  7. yeah, agree with Athene too & so easy to throw insults without revealing who you are - shame on you!

    LOL @ Pink hands :-) she looks like she's having fun :-) :-) :-)

    1. I could put comment moderator on, but then no comments would get published until I found the time to go and read them all, then publish them. I've tried that before, and it means more work for me.

  10. Sorry to hear the crappy comment by anon. I think your family is doing a great job. Keera is a cutie, and sweet, and loved, and well cared for. She has family to help out when needed, and a Mom coming to visit and spend time with her daughter whenever she can. Everyone is doing what they can and that is FABULOUS! Keep on keepin' on!

    Hi

Try using some cooking or olive oil to clean Keera's hands, usually works well, then soap and water again...lol

  15. Really disappointed to read comments written by someone too gutless to identify themselves. What is wonderful is to see a family who is so supportive of each other in difficult times. I don't know Chris or her family personally but love reading this blog and seeing how united they are. Yes, we all go through our tough times but being rude and disrespectful in a public environment is disgusting. You should be ashamed of yourself. Lacey, you have gorgeous kids and please don't take on board other people's crap! Karen xo

    1. That's exactly what I was going to write! Must be a Karen thing lol. Chris and Stew and their kids are the kindest, most genuine people and do not need to be judged by anyone.

  16. To Anon: I have met Lacy and she is lovely. I really like her and I know she loves her family and children. BUT for some reason, Lacy is unable to look after her kids. I just think... why waste time judging? Chris and Stew and the family know the situation and realise that Keera is better off in a stable environment. I am loving seeing the smile on Keera's face and the security she is now experiencing :)

Chris really when you set your mind to it you whip up a project so darned fast Keera your new quilt is looking fab. OH and I love the pink hands wonder what colour they will be next lol. I used to have 5 sets kindy clothes (Mon-Fri) and that's the only clothes that went to and from kindy and then it didn't matter what or how they came home, but some days you can only imagine what mayhem ensues! It's me Blondie
