As it's not long now till the kids go back to school, I suppose I should get their stationery ready.
This means a trip to buy it all. This year Griffin's year at school is using computers predominantly in class, so his list is very small.
Not so lucky with Brylee though. Hers is fairly long.
I'm hoping the vast majority of families have already done their shopping and I can whip around the shop fairly quickly.
So we will do that this morning, and get it out of the way. Then I will name all of Griffin's new uniform. He's not nagged me about it either, which is bloody amazing!
Next on the 'to do' list today, both the kids have a dental appointment down at the college at 11 am. I think I shall do that FIRST... then get the stationery.
I just remembered I haven't sewn hanging tabs on my Mariner's Compass wall hanging, so I will do that after Griffin's uniform ... now I actually have a few things to do today!
I was struggling to think of things to do today, but once I sit down here things come to me. *smiles*
Right, I'm off to start the day.
HERE'S A TIP:
YOU DON'T HAVE TO. I don't, and my comment is published anyway!
Maybe you do if you are publishing as an ANON commentor? But ya don't if you have a Google account.
I dunno. All I do know is I type me comment and hit 'publish' and boom. It's done.
We have had a VERY GOOD morning.
At the school Dental clinic, Brylee got a 100% good report, and so did Griffin... EXCEPT for his dead front tooth.
And the best thing about THAT?
Last year when it happened, we had to go to a private dentist as the Primary school Dental Clinic didn't do root canals.
And I refused to pay over a $1,000 to get it fixed.
NOW... under the Secondary School system, it can be fixed FOR FREE!!!
No one told me THAT last year! Rip off artists (the dentists). I'm so happy I can't stop smiling.
His first appointment is next Thursday. Yaaaa.
We got all the stationery, it was so much cheaper this year too. Another yaaa.
Hi! Back after a lovely afternoon, spent in the spa pool and lying in the sun. Also, looked after Dante for a while so Bex could go down to the Playcentre and get it ready for opening soon.
Now we are watching some hilarious tv and looking forward to bed.
End of Day: a really neat day. Perfect summer's day... and didn't notice the heat so much today.
